As four Uyghur youths residing in the United States, we share a common passion for music that transcends the boundaries of our daily lives filled with work and family commitments. Recognizing the absence of a live Uyghur music presence in the U.S., we have made the bold decision to form a band, driven by the desire to carve out a space for our cultural heritage within the vibrant tapestry of American musical expression. Despite the challenges of balancing our individual responsibilities, we have committed ourselves to weekly gatherings, coming together in the intimate setting of our homes to rehearse and refine our craft.

 

Our ultimate goal is to not only establish ourselves as the first Uyghur band in the U.S. but also to fill the void that exists in the American music scene, offering audiences a unique and authentic experience of Uyghur music. With each practice session, we are not only honing our musical skills but also fostering a sense of unity and purpose, bound together by our shared vision and dedication to our cultural heritage. As we journey towards realizing our dream, we are fueled by the belief that our music has the power to bridge divides, cultivate understanding, and celebrate the richness of diversity in the American landscape.
